Scarecrow Festival Open Day

To celebrate the Bothwell Scarecrow Festival we will be opening the gates to members of the public from 10.00am on Saturday 8th September.

We will be serving refreshments; and there will be plants and organic fertilisers for sale. Our experienced gardeners and environmentalists will be on hand to offer advice on gardening, recycling and green energy. You can take a gentle stroll around the garden, taking in the woodland walks, the bee and butterfly borders and have a look and see what our organic growers have been growing this year.

Shawn will be demonstrating his cookery skills

We are delighted to welcome Shawn Malone from Little Apple to the garden. Shawn will be doing a cookery demonstration in the garden at 10.30am, where he will be cooking three dishes and will be handing out recipe cards and tasters to his audience, so come along promptly at 10am to get yourself a great view of a master at work!

If any of our members would like to donate their delicious home-baking to the Open Day we would, of course, hugely appreciate it.

We look forward to welcoming members and visitors to Bothwell Community Garden on Saturday. See you there!

Please note that we regret we cannot allow dogs, with the exception of assistance dogs, within the community garden.
